Many new friends at Madoya school. It was day of training with the teachers of grade 4 & 5. We continued our letter exchange between the USA students and the students at Madoya. Each student received a letter and then wrote a letter to be delivered to their new friend in Indiana.
This was a great cultural experiences the Kenya students had many questions about American food, pets and family. These children are very impressive. One girl in the 5th grade class had a question after she read her letter. It was about the grammar in the letter she received. She knew the correct english but wanted to respect the student. She was correct and when she read the letter aloud it was the correct english.
The quality of education these children are getting is excellent and given the challenges they face daily it is an impressive demonstration of the committed teachers.
