Our second day was the “Day of Connections.”
THE CHILDREN:
We held VBS with 140 children. The connections we felt with these kids was very special. They just opened up and loved us and wanted our smiles and our hugs.
OUR TEAM:
It was also a day of deeper connections within the CPCC team. We have moved into a true team stage with each other. There are so many complimentary strengths and personalities that we are amazed at how God pulled us together to serve.
THE COMMUNITY:
Our connections also reached out into the community, as we did more home visits and met with our sponsored children and their families.
We also have the opportunity to pray with a family who had just recently lost a child to illness. God used us as a collective group to support them in prayer. The Holy Spirit singled out Jeff and Lucy to speak wonderful words of love and compassion to them.
We were all in tears during our visit to their home.
