I was away this past weekend and missed an opportunity to hear from the family Connection Pointe supports working with the Navajo Nation. Brad and Bonnie Jones and son Ben were here to worship with us and share about their new role in ministry with Lifeline in Arizona. Their work is steady, building a church core at Red Sands with plans to expand to other Navajo areas as God opens up the possibilities.
I asked Teresa Byington, Global Impact Coordinator, to share about the visit with Brad and Bonnie and next steps in our partnership.

Navajo Trip Update
Most of the time God has more in mind than we can imagine! (Ephesians 3:20) He calls us to pray and to listen as He makes us ready to do His work.
Last fall Dan and I began to think about a Connection Pointe Global Impact trip to visit our Lifeline partners in the Navajo Nation at the Red Sands School and the newly relaunched LIFEhouse Church. Personally, as Greg (husband) and I heard about this, we had an immediate affection for the trip and decided to lead.
As there is much to do in the area, Lifeline asked us to bring a large group… minimum of 12. We thought we could probably work hard and get 15. Obviously, God had more in mind. To date we have 21 excited trip team members signed up with another 4 still in the thinking process. We are going to cap our team at 25, so if you are interested, sign up today. First come/first served! You can read more about the trip here.
This weekend our team had a huge blessing, the Navajo Pastor of LIFEHouse, Brad Jones and his family worshipped with us at Connection Pointe.
After service, many of our trip team and the CP Global Impact Team had the opportunity to meet them and hear their story … a story rich with details of how God brought them to this place. Needless to day, we are more excited than ever to visit our new friends in Arizona and partner with them as they do what God has called them to do.
Would you join us in praying for our Lifeline partners and for our trip team members. The challenges for this ministry in the Navajo Nation are many! But, we know God has more in mind than we can imagine!
We look forward to sharing more with you in October!
