Hey all! After a few days out and about we have a lot to share with you. Our Sunday morning started out with an early morning drive to the Eastern side of Swaziland to visit Pastor LaSellete. She is an amazing woman with an awesome story of coming to know the Lord about 15 years ago and being called to ministry. She overseas four church plants on the Eastern part of Swaziland and will be helping launch our church in Njojane. She welcomed us with open arms (and lots of hugs) a we got to experience Africa style church with us dancing and kids signing. It was awesome experience to worship with believers who speak different languages than us, worship and pray in different ways, but all serve the same God.
After church Pastor LaSellete invited us back to her home for some amazing food and apple turnovers. We all felt right at home! After Pastor LaSellete’s house we headed a few minutes down the road for an overnight game drive (where we saw lots of lions…amazing) and got to experience a whole different side of Swazi culture.
Now for the best part! This morning we headed to our Care Pointe and got to experience Njojane for the first time. It is a beautiful place! The view from our Care Pointe is stunning. The church building and feeding center were just completed this week, and progress is being made on the Pastors house next door. (Pictures are below!) Right now we are currently feeding about 250 kids at our Care Pointe, 150 of which are sponsored by people at CPCC. If you still want to sponsor there are plenty of kids ready to go!! Anyway, we spent all day at the Care Pointe interacting with our kids. It was awesome to see what the Connection Pointe body has done there and how the money, prayers and time we invested made have made a huge impact in Njojane and this is only the beginning! The people on the trip who sponsor kids also got to meet them and spend some quality time with them today! It was awesome to be able to give them some small gifts and watch them get so excited. Thanks for your prayers! Please keep praying as these next few days will lay the foundation for our partnership in Njojane.
Enjoy the pictures!!!
Amazing pictures! Praying for you all, the Care Point and the kids.
