This upcoming weekend at Connection Pointe there is a tremendous opportunity for global ministry participation. Child sponsorship kiosks will be in our lobby representing our partnerships in Guatemala, Kenya and Swaziland. Many children are waiting in these countries to be connected to a sponsor that will pray for them, write letters back and forth, and build a relationship that tells them they matter. For just over $1 a day a sponsor brings hope to a child’s life and encouragement to dream positively about the future.
This financial commitment also helps support the staff who care for these children on a daily basis. These faithful Christian workers bring continual optimism and teaching of God’s eternal love for each child. When our teams visit these countries each year they go not only for the children, but also for the staff. These local heroes are the hands and feet of Jesus each day to the children. They too need our prayers and supportive relationships.
One change you may notice at the Swaziland kiosk is the name Children’s Cup. This organization is now our child sponsorship partner at Njojane, but the children and staff and learning center are all the same.
Those already sponsoring Swazi children should have received information from One Child Matters on the simple process to transition support for their child through Childrens Cup. If you have questions, please stop by the Swaziland kiosk for help. All these children still need your sponsorship, plus there are new Swazi children eagerly awaiting a sponsor.
Guatemala. Kenya. Swaziland. If we sponsored all the children currently available to us in these three countries, we would be close to our goal of sponsoring one child in another place for every child who comes to Connection Pointe on a weekend. Incredible! It’s the reason we call this 1 + 1. What a great possibility before us, to know that each child walking into Kid City represents a sponsored child in Kenya, Guatemala and Swaziland that is walking into their place of learning to hear of God’s love too.
Nothing is impossible with God. Talk and pray with your family about this opportunity and listen to what God lays on your heart.
See you this weekend,
Dan
