imgresThe International Conference on Missions (ICOM) is Nov 17-20, this year in Lexington, KY. This is one of the best mission conferences because of its broad appeal to the national church and international missions. Several Connection Pointe members have plans to attend; for those coming, please let Teresa or I know so we can arrange to all meet over coffee or a meal. Our church is registered, so there is no cost to you, but you do need to register individually. Follow the link to church registrations here, then click on code and insert 2016ICOM to fill in your information. The speakers and schedules are found here.

The theme this year is Disciples Making Disciples, with a supporting theme of the use of technology in this process.

The exhibit hall will be full of mission organizations and resources, with many opportunities to explore for furthering your missions service and education. If you are there and want to talk to me about what God is laying on your heart, let me know. I would love to have that conversation with you!

MISSION TRIPS

The mission trips for 2017 were rolled out this past week. (View the list.) We have new trips to support our partners with Lifeline Christian MissionJose Rodriguez in Panama and Dawn Springer/Brad and Bonnie Jones in Arizona. We also will be returning to the places we went in 2016 to support our partners there. In addition, there are three other trips not listed. These trips will be invitation only for specific skill sets to limited access countries. The first team is already formed to travel to Indochina in January. Be in prayer for this team of 7 people as they spend time in building relationships and prayer walks with our partners there.

Lastly, remember to pray for our Panama vision trip team and India pastoral care team as mentioned in last week’s Global Notes.
