I have a collection of Bibles at my desk that are in different languages. They serve as a constant reminder that God speaks to people in their heart language, and He wants to meet us all on a heart level.
On Oct 20 at 6:30 pm, we will have two families visiting us who are heavily involved in translating God’s Word into the heart language of the Maco and Ayore of South America. Bruce and Alice, Bruce and Cindy and their boys will be updating us on their work. These two dear families have decades of experience and have stories to inspire and challenge us. They are some of our longest serving global partners. Anyone is welcome to come. RSVP here.
On Oct 21, 10:30-11.30 am, we will have a meet and greet with John and Peris Keshe in the Living Room. John and Peris, who are Maasai, are also global partners of Connection Pointe, serving in Kenya. You can read about John here. Their ministry is in water resources and also sponsorship of girls in secondary school — like Jacinta who is a graduate of their KCEA program. Read about Jacinta here. This is John and Peris’s first time to Connection Pointe, and even two minutes in the room with them will infect you with encouragement. They are that inspiring! Anyone who has been to Kenya/Maasai since 2010 will have met John and Peris, and I especially encourage all of you to come renew the relationship. You may RSVP here to let us know you are coming or you can just drop by!
Meeting these global partners who keep us connected to God’s global work is a privilege. Having many people come to say hello and hear about their work will greatly encourage them. I hope you can come.
Til next week, Dan
I love seeing God’s word in different languages. It also reminds us that God’s church is a global church. Thanks for sharing!
