We arrived safely yesterday (Sat) and our hosts Rut and Josh met us at the airport.
Three of our bags with supplies did not make it, but they were delivered safely today (now we are ready for VBS).
Our first day was spent delivering water filters to homes in the community. We split into 4 groups and drove and hiked many miles to deliver and install 35 water filters. These filters allow these families to have clean, safe drinking water. It was a blessing to meet and talk with these families, hear about their faith, and let them know that God loves them and we love them. I’m sure you will hear many more incredible stories about our home visits when we see you again.
Tomorrow the kids descend on the learning center for VBS. In addition to VBS, it sounds like we have a painting project and dirt hauling project in the cards. The learning center is building additional classrooms, so there are many things to help with.
