The International Conference on Missions is an annual conference that “exists to Encourage, Equip and Enlist workers for the Harvest.” Main speakers this year are from Africa, India and the USA. In addition, there are 25 different tracks of workshops Nov 17/18 that cover topics such as:
- Equipping the Local Church
- Ways to Enter the Mission Field
- Going Deeper with God
- Mission Trips
- Life Coaching
- Missionary Care
- Making Disciples
Our church supports the ICOM as one of our global partners. We have registered as a church, meaning all connection pointe members can attend any session or workshop free of charge. Peoria is 3 hours away. It is worth the drive, even for one day. Full information on this year’s conference can be found at theicom.org.
There is also a student icom (sicom) that is geared toward high school students. Two of our own church members will be speaking at sicom – Caitlyn Smelser and Teddy Haubner. More information can be found at theicom.org/students.
