Our India team returns today. This has been one of the more challenging trips this year for a Connection Pointe team because of the demonetization of 85% of India’s cash by its government. Buddy Faulkner texted me from India on Saturday and said, “This will not deter us.” While the team’s ability to travel was affected, the ministry continued. Their last two days were spent serving and encouraging in the slums of Delhi alongside ASSI. Your prayers have been heard and much appreciated.

This past Sunday I heard Dr Michael Oh speak in Philadelphia. He is the Global Executive Director of the Lausanne Movement . Birthed through the vision of Billy Graham in the 1970’s, and co-founded with John Stott, the Lausanne Movement is arguably the leading mover today for global missions. During his message, Dr Oh shared information that confirmed to me our church is involved in countries that are at the center of need for presentation of the gospel:

Turkey has one of the fewest number of Christians anywhere in the world. Remember to pray for Paul and Stacey serving in that country.

India has the most people groups of any country without the scriptures in their own language. ASSI was able to translate and publish the Magahi New Testament in 2014.

Besides these two mentioned by Dr Oh, our partners in the Balkans (John and Ruth, Zach and Haley, and Jeremiah), and Indochina (Van and Jane) are working in regions of the world that have a very small percentage of Christians.

We are part of God’s global work!

We are strategically and relationally invested in places and people who are boldly living out and speaking out the hope and freedom found in Christ. I am grateful to be part of a church that is so active in the world.

Lastly, remember to pray for Giles and Alison Emery our partners in Kenya. They have arrived in the USA for some much needed time of reconnecting with family and friends, and to rest. I can assure you they have done well in their first two years and we are honored to be their home church.
