This update is long overdue, but we wanted to make you aware of the need for peace for the country of Kenya. During the last presidential election major violence erupted as a result of what was thought to be corruption during the election process. This time it has been handled much more peacefully, but there have been some reports of violence. Here are some specific things you can pray for!

  • Please remember our missionaries Dan and Connie Crum, the Missions of Hope ministry in the Mathare Slum and the country of Kenya in your prayers.  Kenya held their national elections on Monday, March 4, the first election since the 2007 elections, which resulted in violence throughout the country.
  • Please pray for peace in Kenya, and for Dan and Connie to be witnesses to the peace Christ provides during this time.
  • Pray for those in the slums, as food prices are doubling.
  • Pray for continued calls for peace on the part of the candidates.
  • Pray for patience for all candidates, leaders, and Kenyans as the results are tallied.
  • Pray for stamina and honesty on the part of Isaack Hassan and the IEBC, responsible for a fair election in Kenya.
  • Pray for a return to normalcy for all Kenyans.

Thank you for you prayers!
